Offerpad has announced that Rich Ford is joining the company as its new chief strategy officer and president of its Cash Offer Marketplace.

Ford — who brings over 25 years of experience across residential real estate, capital markets and technology — will help shape the company's long-term strategy and lead the continued development of its marketplace-driven transaction platform, according to a news release.
An early pioneer in the single-family rental (SFR) sector, Ford most recently co-founded Roofstock, where he helped scale the company's SFR marketplace as one of its senior executives. He previously worked on large-scale housing marketplace platforms and held roles in real estate capital markets at Jefferies, Bank of America, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.
At Offerpad, Ford said he sees an opportunity to give homeowners "multiple ways to sell through one integrated platform," which enables the company "to deliver speed and certainty while optimizing pricing and capital efficiency."
Ford's experience "will help sharpen our strategy and strengthen outcomes for sellers and shareholders," Offerpad Founder and CEO Brian Bair added.
